I'll take the high road on this unless some other news comes out. Sponsor pressure support + Vilas wanting to show who has the juice support+Beach Resort= Mar del Plata. I think Cordoba is inland but I can't be sure.

Cordoba is inland.
Anyways, seems that politics had much to do with it. Bs As governor Daniel Scioli (Mr Kirchner's VP) backed MdP candidacy and promised 10 mill U$ to the city to get it ready for the DC.

I'd discount Vilas as a factor. Haven't heard a peep out of him.
Besides, MdP is not the Prime beach resort here.
