I'd go with Mauresmo because her results are just awful. It's heartbreaking to see her like this, so I'd think after Wimbledon and maybe, if she's still up to it, the Olympics, she'll call it a day.
Lindsay is my second guess. She's playing through the US Open, and then will decide whether or not to continue. She has said that it depends on what's best for her son (since he's a year now, it's harder to travel with him) and my own assuption of her results and health. We shall see... |

I would have chosen Mary Pierce if she had been an option. I bet she comes back at the US Open, plays some indoor events, her body doesn't keep up, and she goes bye-bye.
I voted for Lindsay because it seems she is playing it by ear as is. Next choice would be Amelie, but I think if she were going to retire this year, it would have happened already, maybe. Then Ferrero and Hewitt simply because they're barely standing, but I think Ferrero's not going to forgive himself for going 5 years without winning a tournament, and Hewitt still wants to fight. So, I see them retiring only if an injury takes them out for many months. |
