Gosh, it seems like forever since we saw Jelena's name in a draw. I'm excited.

What would that make it, four in a row?

What's the record for tournaments won in consecutive weeks? Has anyone managed four?
Jelena's just gearing up to play four in one week.

Jelena's schedule is laughable, but consider this...the last four tournaments (she did take one week off between the US and Tokyo)

US Open (Slam) Final
Tokyo (Tier 1) Lost in Quarters
Beijing (Tier 2) Won
Stutgartt (Tier 2) Won

and she's got to be considered one of the favorites to title in Moscow. So is the joke on us?

Maybe, but it still might be on her if she ends up too worn out to win a match in Doha...

True Suliso...she might end up crying in her 2009 Porsche beer.

Jelena was watching the debate last night, and chugging one every time McCain said "my friends".

She'll be calling for the trainer for treatment on her liver mid-match tomorrow, just so you aren't surprised.

I'll be ready.

I'm looking forward to the policy analysis in her press conference. "I don't understand this about nailing Jello to the wall. Who would try to nail Jello to the wall?"

Even if the Jello was sent down from the stands along with a note from her mom?

That Jello's for eating. Mom brings snacks, not construction material.

That led me to a mental image of Yuri discreetly (sp?) showing Maria a handful of Jello.

After Maria refused to slash Justine's throat, Yuri thought he would have Maria feed her poison Jello instead. A bit more humane was the general thinking in the Sharapova camp.

Random, but we had the best time with Jelena and Snezana at IW last year. Every time I see the two of them, I remember it. And laugh.

You all are a trip.

When did Jelena's hair turn red?
