Schnyder may sneak past a tired Sveta. You can't look past ALG anymore. On the whole a balanced draw. At first glance I don't see anyone with a cake walk.
Cake walks are impossible in tiny indoor draws with most top players in attendance. Stuttgart used to be the strongest tier II of the year. They can't claim that any more, but it's still pretty good...

Random fact: French players have lost the last four finals here.

Trivia question: Which famous player won her first career title here?

Hingis? (If she counts, because the tournament was played in Filderstadt back then)

No, about 20km, I guess. Does anyone know why they moved the tournament?

More Filderstadt/Stuttgart trivia - of the 15 women who have won this title, all of them were ranked in the top 10 at one point during their career.

Zurich could claim the same thing if it weren't for that damn Amy Frazier.
Check that. I think Zurich can claim the same. Frazier's Swiss win was in Lucerne.

I'm not sure exactly, but when all else fails, I blame Henin.
