Re: Marcos, from http://www.fft.fr/open-de-moselle/2008/?id=4101 :
Rough translation: The most French of the Cypriots, Marcos Baghdatis, definitely is very unfortunate. Just back to the circuit after a wrist injury, the former AO finals was violently injured in his back, this tuesday, in his match agaist Croat giant, Ivo. Baghdatis was at 6-4, 1-2, 30-0 when he collapsed in pain after hitting a serve. He had to be carried out from the court in a stretcher. Marcos then got an MRI on Wednesday to know more about his injury. But it seems it may not be too serious because after some exercises, his back was freed and he could walk.

I think I got this right...please correct any errors.

Having back issues and playing regularly, this freaks me the hell out.

Calleri and Szavay would probably agree with you.

Play in Metz,
Play in Metz,
Come on out and meet in Metz,
Bring your Euros,
It's part of tennis life,
Come on out and have the tennis time of your life,
Because in Metz, they are really hitting the ball,
Hope that no one will hit it over the wall,
East side West side, everybody come on out
and see the tennis in M-e-t-z, Metz in some French town.

Sorry, I had to do it. Some people will get it most will not.

When I play tennis I alternate in my mind which one of these two I am.

Maybe so, but is this really a fitness related issue?
He was probably trying to find a way to have a snack, Nalbandian would be a good dbls. partner for Marcos.

Nalby is otherwise occupied right now so Marcos was on his own.

GVGirl, I'm not even a Metz Mets fan but man, what a way to end the season!

I'm not a Mets fan either, but my husband is. Two years in a row choking down the stretch.

Back to tennis.

As for Marcos and Nalby comment up thread

Tell him that we said "Thank you" for stealing Billy Wagner away from us.
