Finally, some Q rating for Davydenko. Long overlooked for his accomplishments, he becomes the ATP villan.

If he were guilty, I'd completely agree. I'd just caution to be careful of rushing to judgment. I really want to know A) what happened here and B) why.

Given the whole Donaghy matter, and Michael Vick, now's not a good time for withholding judgment in the press, Bea.

With the Open coming up, I'd be surprised if the USTA isn't allready looking at how to keep him out of NYC

Apparently in July the ATP sent a note to players saying that they noticed more and more players are betting on matches, and urging them to abstain from match-fixing.

I believe the rule is that you forfeit your prize money and pay about a $100,000 fine. No one's going to get suspended.

Throwing a match isn't suspension worthy, M8? That would surprise me.

You can't cut and paste from the rulebook PDF....but it sure looks to me that there are more than sufficient grounds for a suspension, if he threw the match (Rule 7.03, 7.04)

If he proves to be guilty, can we sue for point compensation in the prediction contest?

This is seriously troubling. Please please please, not in my sport.

I said earlier that we should wait and not rush to judgement BUT I think at this point, if you're ET, and you look at your newsfeed and this crawls across your screen Davy is in deep sticky smelly brown stuff and as has been said, he won't be in New York.

Maybe Davy should sue his shoe company while he recovers from his injury just to keep it real.
