Cornet 7-6 (7-5 in TB). Mattek hit a nice volley in the breaker for a 5-3 lead but gave the set away on errors (DF at 5-all in breaker). This match has over 50 errors but it is a good match with both ladies slugging it out

yep. Finally frustration got to her, she was up a break twice in the set, served for it, was up 3-1 and then 5-3 in breaker...

but Allez Alize!

She and Richie drive me up a wall. They should both be in the top 5, yet are floundering.
Especially Nicole. I have been waiting for that since winning Strasbourg and a semifinal result at RG in 2006.

Keep waiting. It could still happen.

I'm happy about Petrova's resurgence.

patrick's right. 3 totally unforced errors and a double fault. Forehand long, backhand wide, bakhand wide (along with the double fault)--no pressure at all on her on any of them.

Actually, there was pressure, but not from Cornet, it was from Mattek's brain.
