In the past there have been instances where ESPN2 did not have rights to the first match. In that event, they usually talk the whole time and show replays, reminding you to check the scores online or wait for NBC, until their semifinal takes the court.

Which is most likely what will happen tomorrow.
Boo. That's annoying. Guess I definitely will be watching online. Thank god that's an option, although I would much rather watch on the big screen of my TV

I'll probably just watch on Wimbledon Live anyway, but I am very confused about TV coverage tomorrow. Fed-Safin are up first, but I saw a commercial on ESPN2 saying they'll be covering Nadal's match starting at 7 am ET. What the??

If ESPN2 is broadcasting live like the TV listings say, they have to do Fed-Safin don't they? Or will they just cover the Williams' doubles match and then air junk until it's time for NBC to play their tape-delayed coverage of Fed-Safin?
It's possible they made the preview before they knew the schedule expecting Fed-Safin to be second for NBC's schedule. I can't handle US coverrage of a Safin match anyway, so I'll be watching Russian coverage.

With Wimbledon Live, TV coverage is pretty useless. If you're lucky, you get to use the tube to watch the match that's important to you (MUTED, if possible), but you have sound on the match of your choice for Wimbledon Live (unless Tracy Austin is involved)... Or switch back and forth between a few matches.

With any luck, in a few years, there will no need for the jingoistic nonsense you hear on the networks.

I didn't have Wimbledon Live before this year, so I'm still on the high and think Wimbledon Live is the greatest thing since Hillary conceding the nomination.

Ferchrissakes. You allready get to sleep 3 hours later every day than the rest of us back East. Don't get greedy.
Yeah, all those times getting up at 4 am instead of 7 am have been swell. I feel so lucky.

My dream is for all the slams to have their own version of Wimbledon Live. Granted the picture quality isn't HD on big screen, but nothing beats live matches that YOU want to watch, the ability to dl and watch other matches, and the quality of the announcing teams.

GOOD MORNING TAT!! Happy 4th of July everyone!

I am so disappointed and I want to cry. It takes a lot to make me want to cry, but NBC, man oh man.

I won't be on the the board this morning, I won't be participating in the discussion.

NBC has hijacked the men's semifinals and won't be showing ANYTHING until 12 Oclock on the east coast, which means indeed, that...I won't get to see anything until 4 hours after the matches have actually started.

Since I deeply truly love Safin and will be rooting for him with all my heart (Kick Fed's butt Marat!) I'm staying off the board in order to KNOW NOTHING when I get to watch....TAPE DELAYED TENNIS TODAY and...seeing how they hijacked the fricking semi's ....probably one of the most popular semi's as of late...the least they could do is frickin' SHOW IT LIVE!

Frickin' NBC....If it weren't for ESPN...and TC's interactive draw...my Wimbledon would have been in total ruins. I'm glad that USA has the rights to the US Open.

Frickin stupid fricken NBC!

Enjoy the match that is about to start right now and I can't awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Dry....

One thing that has kept me from purchasing Wimbledon Live is....I hate watching tennis on the little computer screen.

Reading your posts...I just realized what my husband likes to do..our computer is right next to our tv...he hooks these little connecting wires up and....presto! whatever is on the computer is now on the tv....

Crap. Next year...I'm getting Wimbledon Live.

Missinandre has already said it all. I'll only add NBC!!!!

I'm not complaining about watching Venus and Serena play doubles. The problem is NBC showing ANOTHER tape delayed match. Unbelievable.

Thank goodness for Wimbledon Live. This is my 2nd year using it, and it is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
