way too many things need to go Murray's way, so I say "no chance."

Of course, let's remember that this is the tournament of perrenial Wimbledon semfinalists Zheng, Dementieva and either Clement or Schuettler.

Still, I say at best that Andy takes a set. (And, PLEASE feel free to prove me wrong, Andy.)

If Andy Murray so much as holds serve more than once, I'll have no choice but to take the first rowboat off this god-foresaken island .

Have you met any Murray fans in England already?

I was on Henman Hill for the Gasquet match

As repulsive as Andy is, his homeland is rather nice. Once Andy was in London, I figured it a safe time to go to Edinburgh. Nice views abounded

Nope. Not even if Rafa goes home for the day.

Andy has a chance
Not much of one, I think it depends more on the condition of Rafa's knee than the crowd.
Rafa won't miss the crosscourt shots that Gasquet did, and he will NOT melt.
Rafa also enjoys playing hardball against loud crowds rooting for the other guy.

three thoughts:

1. Nadal's confidence is very high ... but he hasn't had a reason to lose any. If Murray gets up early, Nadal's instincts are not tuned to grass; he may well react in a counterproductive way. Murray must get up early to have any shot

3. Nadal said the only time he was intimidated at the French was when he played Grosjean and (can't remember the other Frenchman). What will it be like playing Murray at Wimbledon, then?
.
Disagree I do with number 1. He has escaped quite a few tough matches on grass during these years (Soderling/Youzhny come to mind) and one cannot do that if he/she doesn't feel comfortable on the surface.

The other Frenchie was Mathieu

But even with the crowds....Rafa's tennis is better than Murrays and that's the bottom line.
The bottom line this is.

the Frenchies are much tougher crowds than the Brits....
Agree again I do. And good riddance that the Brits are more well behaved.
