Sorry for the late Reply...Admins - I am able to access this site directly..Thanks
Any proof of that, that more money is getting to the Taliban than to corrupt army or than to the families of the pols? Let's make clear, your contention is that US taxpayer money is going to the Taliban. April 2010 Afghanistan's police force has said that a Pakistani army officer {Captain} is among the men arrested after it broke up a group planning to carry out suicide attacks in Kabul. ---------- Pakistan arrests army officer linked to Times Square bomb suspect Pakistan Investigators have arrested a Pakistani army major linked to the prime suspect in the botched attempt to bomb New York City's Times Square early this month, Pakistani law enforcement sources said Tuesday. I can quote many other articles which are linked to Pakistani Army helping people to kill Americans directly or indirectly. These are the latest reports, none of them are from Indian Source.... ![]() Pakistani & its Army is surviving on American Aid Money. If US stops funding Pakistan will collapse! Pakistan has mastered to negotiate with a gun pointed to his own head. |

You're implication is that American taxpayer money is paying these people directly and that people in our government know that and are involved and that there is a media conspiracy to cover it up. That simply isn't true. What there is is significant corruption and fuzzy definitions of sides. It's entirely possible for a person in Pakistan to serve in the military and have close family members in the Taliban. Things are not as black and white as we'd probably like. But the Pakistani government is not the Taliban and though some taxpayer money no doubt makes it to the Taliban, some is also used to fight them and some simply lines corrupt pockets. Funny you say this - Pakistan Army has always been saying they Support Good Taliban (Afghan Taliban) which kills Americans in Afghanistan for STRATEGIC DEPTH. ================== http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airlift_of_Evil In 2008, more details emerged in Descent into Chaos by Ahmed Rashid: One senior (U.S.) intelligence analyst told me, "The request was made by Musharraf to Bush, but Cheney took charge--- a token of who was handling Musharraf at the time. The approval was not shared with anyone at State, including Colin Powell, until well after the event. Musharraf said Pakistan needed to save its dignity and its valued people. Two planes were involved, which made several sorties a night over several nights. They took off from air bases in Chitral and Gilgit in Pakistan's northern areas, and landed in Kunduz, where the evacuees were waiting on the tarmac. Certainly hundreds and perhaps as many as one thousand people escaped. Hundreds of ISI officers, Taliban commanders, and foot soldiers belonging to the IMU and al Qaeda personnel boarded the planes. What was sold as a minor extraction turned into a major air bridge. The frustrated U.S. SOF who watched it from the surrounding high ground dubbed it "Operation Evil Airlift." Another senior U.S. diplomat told me afterward, "Musharraf fooled us because after we gave approval, the ISI may have run a much bigger operation and got out more people. We just don't know. At the time nobody wanted to hurt Musharraf, and his prestige with the army was at stake. The real question is why Musharraf did not get his men out before. Clearly the ISI was running its own war against the Americans and did not want to leave Afghanistan until the last moment." |

Afghan Spy Agency Accuses Pakistan
25 May 2010 A spokesman for Afghanistan’s intelligence agency on Monday accused Pakistan’s intelligence agency of involvement in the suicide bombing here last week that killed six NATO soldiers, including four colonels. “All the explosions and terrorist attacks by these people were plotted from the other side of the border and most of the explosives and materials used for the attacks were brought from the other side to Afghanistan,†Mr. Ansari said. “Of course when we say that those attacks were plotted from the other side of the border, the intelligence service of our neighboring country has definitely had its role in equipping and training of this group,†Mr. Ansari said. |
