Default Taliban leader Mehsud dead
Pakistani Taliban choose new chief

ISLAMABAD — The Pakistani Taliban have appointed a new chief, militants said Saturday, selecting a top commander known for his ruthless efficiency in staging attacks, including a major hotel bombing and a deadly assault against the Sri Lankan cricket team.

The appointment of 28-year-old Hakimullah Mehsud could herald an increase in attacks as the group tries to prove it is still intact and operational, analysts say. It comes after weeks of speculation and reported infighting among Taliban commanders to replace Baitullah Mehsud, the group's former chief who was reportedly killed in an Aug. 5 CIA missile strike in northwestern Pakistan.
----

Fantastic News.

This news confirms Mehsud is dead and we can expect bigger attack now in Pakistan maybe after Ramadan.

The place is back to the baseline. I suspect the Americans will pull out in T minus 15 months.

Hostage taking and demanding money? Seems like an act of desperation by the Taliban as they're being increasingly squeezed of resources and losing their men.

This is not the Taliban which is Fighting in Afghanistan. This Taliban (TTP) is known as BAD TALIBAN and previously it was funded by the Pakistani Army.

The Good Taliban which is Killing American Soldiers is funded by ISI & the money they receive is directly from American Tax Payers... Remember those Billions of Dollars given to Pakistan as Aid some money goes to Good Taliban.

In the Pakistani mountains of Waziristan, young jihadis wait for martyrdom
In the mountains along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, a massive battle looms.

Published: 8:36AM BST 11 Oct 2009

"If the government wanted to get rid of all the Taliban from Waziristan it would be easy," said Dilnawaz Khan, a soldier who served in the Frontier Corps for 18 years before retiring to run a tea stall in the city of Bannu.

"The officials have double standards. They don't really want to crush these Taliban or so-called terrorists because they want to blackmail the Americans to get sympathy and money."

Here we are talking about the Good Taliban who kill American & NATO Soldiers.

I disagree. Muslims Killing Muslims is NEVER a War Crime. Don't know about other countries but Pakistan is allowed to kill Millions of Muslims (Previously Bangladeshi Muslims & Now Baluchis) and still they cry about Kashmiri Muslim Rights and world listens to them.

Recently when Pakistani Army entered the SWAT area they destroyed and looted many civilians houses which were empty. And today anyone in that area grows a Beard is tortured by the Army so most of the villages are forced to SHAVE.
