Default Lockerbie murderer freed
Britain's justice system is seriously flawed!

GREENOCK, Scotland (CNN) -- The only man ever convicted over the Lockerbie passenger plane bombing is to be released and allowed to return to Libya on compassionate grounds because he is terminally ill, Scotland's justice minister said Thursday.

Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi 57 was serving a life sentence for bombing Pan Am Flight 103 over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, resulting in the deaths of 270 people.

The White House, which has urged Britain to keep al Megrahi behind bars, said it "deeply regrets" the decision.

Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill told a news conference that the prisoner, who doctors say has three months to live, was "going home to die" and would put on a plane later Thursday.... source: http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe...ber/index.html

Scotland is practically becoming an independent country. It has its own parliament, laws etc. The decision to release the gentleman was made by Scotland.

I saw that on BBC news late last night. Disgusting, echos of Samir Kunta's reception. Official hugs & kisses, cheering crowds and glitter, and all this before he even left the plane. Killing westerners is still the sport of kings and heros in Libya it seems.

Well in either case Europe is in its death throes. There will be radical Islamic autonomous zones in Europe soon where civil and secular law is not in effect. The will to maintain liberal democracies and values in Europe is exhausted

Gaddafi hugs Lockerbie bomber and thanks Britain

Gaddafi met Megrahi on Friday, giving him a warm embrace and getting a kiss in return, expressed gratitude to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Queen Elizabeth and said their encouragement of Scotland to free him would improve ties.

Suspected oil deal taints bomber's release

On Friday, Lord Trefgarne, chairman of the Libyan British Business Council, said al-Megrahi's release had opened the way for Britain's oil companies to pursue multibillion-dollar oil contracts with Libya, which had demanded al-Megrahi's return in talks with British officials and business executives. Beggars....

Most of the victims were Americans, so on balance, the Scots and British figured it was worth it. Of course you realize this will pave the way for Gordon Brown to demand Israel free all Palestinian prisoners so as to further the peace process.

To add insult to injury the Libyan embassy's housing quarters are in a largely Orthodox Jewish town in NJ and are the next door neighbors of Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. Khaddafy (or however it's spelled today) travels with a gigantic tent because he's the world's biggest bedouin or something like that. I would blast klezmer 24/7 on loudspeakers. What's he going to do? Complain to the State Department? So what, they already work for him.

I hope Scotland frees ALL prisoners if its to their economic advantage. What's a few heroin dealers, cocaine smugglers and such compared to possible economic deals with Bolivia and Afghanistan?

The UK is finished. It's dead and over and out and no one told them yet.
