There are several things about this statement that are worth noting. The first is that there is no reverence -- none -- in the Qur'an about how other "religious traditions" -- whatever that may mean -- are spoken about. None. Not a single passage. 2 passages that say just that.

I can think of plenty of other reasons to honor Israel's rights to be a nation, but for a non-Jew, Jewish scripture isn't one.
