Default Bombs go off in New Delhi, possibly target Israeli tourists
10 dead in New Delhi blasts

A powerful explosion rocked central New Delhi Saturday, killing at least 10 people and injuring dozens more.

At least 40 people were hospitalized after the explosion in the crowded Paharganj neighborhood of the Indian capital, an area popular with Israeli tourists.

According to a police official, the blast was caused by an explosive device.

Two additional explosions were reported minutes after the huge blast outside the Indian capital's main railway station, New Delhi Television said.

One of the blasts was at a usually crowded market while the other was at an industrial area in the south of the city, the television station said, quoting police.

Israeli embassy officials in New Delhi are currently investigating whether any of the injured are Israeli citizens.

Eye witness: As Israelis we are used to this

Ramat Hasharon resident, 42-year-old Amnon Reuveni, spoke to Ynet from New Delhi where he is vacationing with his family. He was a few meters away from the site of blast.

"It happened at the end of the 'main bazaar.' There was a huge explosion and we saw many wounded people. There were many Israelis in the market, and it is unclear how many were hurt," he told Ynet.

Reuveni added that he and his family are planning on staying in India.

"As Israelis we are used to it," he said.

Ronny Yogev from Ra'anana, whose son was near the site of the bombing, told Ynet, "I spoke with my 21-year-old son Yarden on (MSN) Messenger a few minutes ago, and while we were talking he heard a strong explosion."

"He is fine. He took the camera and started taking pictures. I know there are many Israelis there," he added.

Don't hurry with the conclusions. Muslim terrorism is not the only one known in India. Didn't the Sikh blow up several cinemas in Delhi some time in May?

Wouldn't they had claimed responsibility by now?

LeT perhaps... since Today some of their members were given the death sentence or something.

No one can plan and execute a coordinated attack of this magnutude that fast. They must have timed it for the Diwali- if it even was Lashkar-e-taiba. I wouldn't rule Al-Qaeda or Jamaat E-Islami out as well.

My sympathies also with the Muslims who were murdered by the occupying Indian forces in Kashmir.

What relevance is that?

What the hell is wrong with you, can't you just condemn an atrocity when you see it? Condemn full stop, without any "but"?

India doesn't need sympathies from terrorists/suicide bombers, it will take care of itself....

You take care of your own butts...........Hope Canadian Government is keeping a watch over you !!
