Default NATO Airstrike Kills Suspected Senior Taliban Leader
Helicopters are terribly inefficient and have poor loiter time for patrols.

NATO needs to get appropriate turboprop/turbofan aircraft for the job. They can carry more munitions than a helo, fly faster, and have more time over target.

Too bad we sent all the good COIN aircraft to the smelter after Viet Nam. The only exception is the A-10, which has a full squadron in A-stan. Not bad for an aircraft the USAF keeps trying to get rid of and didn't originally want because it wasn't a sexy fighter.

Choppers are hard to fly in the thin air of Afghanistan. Most of the crashes of choppers and fix wing aircraft are because of low speed stalling.
