Why is nothing being done about Somalia while we waste time with middle eastern nations where they don't want to pick up a weapon and fight for their freedoms? I would agree to help Libya by making an ultimatum the country hold emergency elections or referendum to determine if Ghadaffi stays or goes but if it comes to fighting him then rather then waste all the resources fight the same war as terrorists - bomb his palaces with precision bombs and let the people sort out the rest.

But what exactly are OUR interests in the middle east? OIL? - NO! - we pay gas companies for oil even though we have so much of it here in USA and even though we could instead have invested in alternative energy which would be cleaner and renewable if only big money would not have a grip on our government
Do Americans realy even have interests in China? investors who export jobs to make money do, but if they would not control our government, then American society as a whole would only laugh them off for exporting all the jobs. instead they bait us on the media about high taxes or the illegal alien labor as being the problem..

We have no interests of investors investing outside America, but we have interests when Somali pirates repeatedly abduct and kill civilians. this proves my point that American government is NOT looking out for American interests, so when a military people tell me they served the country I hope they understand that maybe not as much as those of us who dare to make a stand against establishment which should not be confused with participation in the left right tit bashing circus as encouraged by the media as a way of distraction.

I serve my country, but people in the middle east - for the sake of your nation, ask yourselves some questions..

Running your suck isn't service, it's exercising a right to free speech.

Spouting an opinion isn't making a stand against the establishment.

When the black helicopters start snatching up people who "speak truth to government", and you continue to speak even though your freedom and possibly even your life are in jeopardy, then you can say you've performed some service.
