Yesterday marked the 65th anniversary of the surrender of Japanese forces and the end of World War II.

NBC did a story on Frank Borrell, one of the last surviving members of the US Navy crew who witnessed the signing of the declaration aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945.

I had the distinct honor of escorting Mr. Borrell from his home in Orlando to the airport on the morning of Aug 31, along with several other members of the Patriot Guard Riders. He truly is a member of the "greatest generation", and a genuine gentleman in a day when so few are.
