mateys, what do you all make 'o this?
Republican chairman Michael Steele drew criticism from within his own party Friday, including calls to resign, after saying the 9-year-old commitment of U.S. troops to Afghanistan was a mistaken "war of Obama's choosing." GOP chair blasted for Afghan war remarks - Politics - msnbc.com so one 'o the captains 'o the mighty GOP hath spoken, aye? the nine year war 'o choice that our president commited us to be a mistaken war, accordin' to Mr. Steele. what kinda message does this send to the families 'o the brave men and women who are battlin' Obama's war? does this statement perhaps signal a change in course fer conservatives to a more dovish stance...one seekin' peace and reconciliation with our foes? *salutes* - MeadHallPirate |

Only when a liberal be at the helm, yarr.. it does seem to be the case now, aye me friend. still, imma surprised to see the Chairman 'o the GOP basically suggest that the US armed forces should surrender. conservatives usually be all fer a robust national defense. most odd, i was surprised that this declaration received limited notice on our mighty decks. - MeadHallPirate |
