Well, yeah, except for the tens of thousands of people who were murdered by the Vietnamese government after the US left. What about the hundreds of thousands murdered by US troops? How about the children still maimed and murdered by your land mines today? Your belligerent presence didn't exactly work out wonderfully for them did it? The fact is that there was no domino effect and no communist ability to take over the world, and when the communists eventually saw the end of the american occupation they prospered quite fine. You mean the the people who betrayed their own by allying with the aggressor? Never mind - just keep up your usual "I hate America" schtick and I won't present Amy more inconvenient facts. Matt |

You mean the the people who betrayed their own by allying with the aggressor? ![]() and if you did some homework I think you would find several of the nations in that era, Malaysia, Thailand et al were in fact very concerned and petitioning the US to act. |

I should have known better than expect you to put aside your hatred of the US to consider the murders committed by the Vietnamese government after the US left. What would America do to collaborators? Why are you ignoring the huge number of murders of innocent people committed by America? Surely your jingoistic fanaticism about your own country can't blind you to this? But in any case, your just a one note troll, i have come to expect nothing of any substance or honesty from you. Andrew |

You calculations of numbers are always so full of fail everyone just laughs at you and it undermines your own points that could be more valid, if not for the hysterics. Just like your fantastical computations of how many we've killed in Iraq. |

That's how we won WWII. And it's how the North won the Civil War. Most WWII vets are pretty old today, but I suspect most of them could still kick your butt. Until one does a hitch in the service they will never learn to appreciate the the incredible number of complete ass holes that are all part of of the cheerful fat assed screwed up F''ng society we all belong to ![]() The only "sensible" ? thing we seem to have learned to do is to cull out the healthyiest, youngest, strongest members among us by sending them to fight wars that we usually find out later were useless gestures. God I love life ! There's no way of loose if you learn to live in the cracks. Vaya Con Dios |

Lovely unsupported statement. Tell me, o' Seer of History, how many VN civilians died during the time we were militarily active there? South Vietnamese civilian dead: 1,581,000* Cambodian civilian dead: ~700,000* North Vietnamese civilian dead: ~2,000,000 Laotian civilian dead: ~50,000* While our carpet bombing definitely killed civilians, if you talk to guys that were there, they'll tell you that the enemy was often civilians, children included and it was kill or be killed. |
