Default Real appreciation for the troops.. Obama is on vacation btw... shush
This morning at DFW Airport, George and Laura Bush greeted 150 (very surprised) troops as they arrived home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Their expressions were so priceless!

Look at the faces of this soldier.. no press there these pictures are from the USO of Fort worths facebbook page. WHAT A SURPRISE!

It would be interesting to learn how often Bush showed up to a public airport to welcome troops home while he was President. I'm not defending Obama; just saying that it's a pretty silly thing to be critical of Obama for...

So you would prefer to have President Obama and the press corps that follows him everywhere he goes to have been there?

he does it ALOT, and shows up at hopitals to see family and soldiers. He does not allow the press in and just walks around. This is a major reason bush will be viewed differantly is 20 years then he is today.

Don't know if I'd go that far.

I thought we weren't supposed to talk about Bush any more. He's not the president, you know.

And why does that first pic look like a guy wearing a Bush mask? Creepy.

OMG, you're right.

Well that would certainly explain that look on the other guy's face!

Well, I mean it's one or the other. Either he's there, along with the cameras that follow, or he's not and the cameras are off where ever he is. I mean honestly, WTF do people want him to do? I'd have been in the "I hate Obama camp" months ago if it weren't for the company, ya know?

Obama spent time playing basketball and then throwing a BBQ at the White House for wounded soldiers just three days ago. Where was the thread on that?

Other than that, thumbs up to Bush for greeting the soldiers, I'm sure it was much appreciated.

Yeah, where was the thread on that? Hmmm, could have been titled:

Insensitive President taunts injured heroes with healthy legs.

Maybe I need to join the "I hate Obama" camp, they're slacking the past few days.

It was all over the news.. him and lebron hooping it up... maybe you missed it. Why would I creat a thread about Obama and others allowing injured troops watch them play basketball?

There were tons of press there and reported it for you to see..

this was not reported in the press, and hense I thought some would liek to see it.

WTF, press weren't allowed to attend Obama's meet with the wounded soldiers....

And the reason why you'd make a thread is because you honor our soldiers and the sacrifices they've made and enjoy seeing our Presidents, past and present, honor them as well. But obviously, that's not that case.

You said there was "tons of press there", when there was no press there exactly like Bush's visit at the airport.

But, I think it's pretty obvious what you're going for here. You don't give a shit about the troops or if anyone visits them and gives them the respect they deserve, you only care about them as a political tool to bash your political opponents. This is entirely evident by you remaining completely silent when Obama spends a day with soldiers who made large sacrifices but then turn around and take a pot shot at Obama when Bush spends an hour shaking hands with troops at an airport. It's also telling that you implore us to look at the faces of the soldiers and how happy they are to be greeted by Bush, when people should really be looking at Bush's face to see how humbled he is to be in the presence of such fine men and women. Disgusting, CSA.

Bush is Bush, Obama is Obama, each of us will draw our own conclusions. As a footnote, as "dumb" as Dubya was supposed to have been, he always knew how many states make up the USA.

ahh personal insults about how I dont care about the military. the only person here that is discusting is you, but its ok, as we are all used to it.

You said why was there no post her about OBAMA polaying basketball in front of troops, and I simply stated it was covered by the press a TON, and this story was not.

Its ok, I know you believe obama is your messiah, so you can simply ignore me and I will do the same with your pathetic attempts at insulting me.

Thanks.
