Our politicians are supposed to work for us in keeping the country on track, and that includes refining and making new laws.
Yep that is what 'they are suppose to do' if you say so ... its turned out great hasn't it?

Once I am no longer FORCED to fund public schools I would gladly send my kids to private .. nice red herring

ever take out any government backed student financial aid, Hasn't Govt has made that difficult considering that they legislated their monopoly on college financing?

She's right about what you called 'original laws'. They were pretty awful. Perhaps you shouldn't have mentioned them at all, if they are not what you meant. Our politicians are supposed to work for us in keeping the country on track, and that includes refining and making new laws.
