What's funny is blacks do NOT vote race anywhere near as much as whites do. Examples? I've got plenty.

Ed Rendell's percentage of the black vote against Lynn Swann (a black republican candidate)? 87%
Bill Clinton percentage of the black vote in 1996? 92%
Obama's percentage of the black vote in 08? 95%
Blacks vote the party, not race.

Yet white voters tend to vote for white candidates even if they are not the same party. Witness white support for Sam Katz against John Street in 2000.

Look at the results in the 2011 primary 2nd Council district race. Cappozzi won the 90% white 26th Ward by about 88%. Yet in the 90% black 40th Ward and the 85% black 36th Ward Cappozzi got significant chunks of the vote there (31% and 23% respectively).

Anne Verna also took huge chunks of the black vote against Damon Roberts in the 2007 primary, winning the overwhelmingly AA district by 17000+ to 5000.
OK, if that's the case, why is the black approval rating for Obama still at 85%. Even as the black unemployment rate is over 16% and fewer than half of democrats strongly approve of the president?

I agree that they are very boring. The thing that kills me however is when one side tries to act superior such as:

Bulworth67: "I don't think the current GOP accepts the legitimacy of any Democratic president. I recall Bill Clinton being treated as poorly. I mean they impeached the guy over a blowjob."
Oh, Bulworth is a side. Got it. Preach on, then.

Joe Wilson didnt blurt it out in the state of the union speech .. it was just another propaganda speech by Zero to try and convince US dumb Americans that his HC plan was good for US

So I guess it is 'respectful' for a member of congress to call the president a liar as long as it isn't in the halls of congress?
You really have blinders on if you think the two are equivalent. You're also not the president of the debate club. Your logic is closer to, "If you think 90 degrees isn't as hot as 100 degrees then why doesn't water freeze at 90 degrees?"

If that was the only reason she didnt vote for McPain then maybe she just isn't that bright?
Kid, your pathetic little attempt at intelligence doesn't even come into the ballpark when it comes to matching wits with my wife. Just save it so that you don't look worse than the racist that you are.

She did gin up a lot of excitement and filled places where she gave speeches .. I don't agree w/ a lot of her policy but she was the reason he actually had a chance Maybe you're just not that bright if you think that's the case?

Noway McPain was beating Barry with or w/out Palin He had a legitimate shot without her.

I really don't even know where to begin with you.
Count to ten then start typing. That's what big boys do.
First, you insulted personally McCain and Palin: "palin as his running mate, her being as dumb as a stump, and him doddering around like an old drunk during debates" Statements of fact. He chose Palin. Fact. She's dumb. Fact. He doddered around during the debates. Fact. Are stumps dumb? Well they score low on the SATs I hear, so Fact. Do Drunks Dodder? Yes? Fact.

You didn't show where I said that blacks were the ones with Buck Fush bumper stickers... that was a separate point showing the hatred of Bush. You keep trying to use the bumper stickers as some sort of proof. So what are they proving again? That people don't like their bumpers? I don't know where to begin with a person that uses a bumper sticker as a factoid.
If you want to pretend that during the 8 years of Bush's presidency that the democrats treated him with respect and didn't attack him personally then go ahead, I'm not going to get into a back and forth of examples. Of course what Wilson did was terrible, classless, and disrespectful.

If you want me to try and defend every republican of course I can't, but I can say that the overwhelming majority of criticism of Obama has not be race based, it has been policy based. You can't even begin to compare the anti-Bushness to the wave of Anti-Obamaness that the TeaBaggers extension brought to the GOP. Despite what your head in the sand says, a good bit of it was centered around race, his 'supposed' religion, and when all that failed, his citizenship.

Also, just to go back to black support of Obama. Since the 95% vote number was dismissed as just democrats voting for democrats, then why do:

85% of blacks approve of Obama (down from 93%)
48% of democrats strongly approve of Obama

If we even say 75% of democrats currently approve of Obama, should his approval rating by blacks be closer to 70%?

Perspective: Why do blacks still let Obama off the hook? (OneNewsNow.com) You're just grasping at straws now.

I know it's asking a lot, but you should try reading what you type every now and then.

You're almost as bad as JayFromPhilly.

Haha, I was wondering how long it would take him to throw that word out there. It's liberal code for "I have no argument". I didn't realize the type of person longtimephilly was. Obviously when you can't have a reasonable conversation, it is no longer worth making points.

Enjoy.

I noticed how you and JC have given up on defending your statements I take it that this means you have no further pathetic defense other than 'I have black friends!' or cry like a baby and whine about being labelled based on your statements.

The reasoning of an imbecile. And when I point out that your argument is awful based on the assumption that I was even defending Harry Reid, you default to the usual argument of, "Typical durrr libral durrrr stoopid o'bummer lover durrr libral." Your schtick stinks.

I'm pretty sure Jack's quote was in response to longtimephilly calling him a racist, and offering no proof of such.

There is a ton of racism as the driving force behind a lot of criticism of Obama. Sorry. At the same time, accusing even most criticism of the job Obama has done as motivated by racism is idiotic and lazy. I really don't see any point in ever pointing one's finger and screaming "RACIST" at anyone. It makes me think of the "Nagger Guy" episode of South Park.

However, to compare what Reid said to interrupting the President in mid-speech to call him a liar is absurd. Sorry. Maybe I missed a point since I was replying on my cell phone and admittedly I haven't read the thread post for post. But, if Jack is seriously trying to equate the two then there is no hope for a reasonable discussion.

What are you 10 years old? You can most certainly present yourself as a racist piece of dingleberry without saying the N word. But I'm sure you're very well practiced at that by now. How about you go post some more videos of black people running and then you and your peanut gallery can get back to the issues that you're now dodging with this derail.
