Default Christie : Balancing lost casino revenue by toll bridge rape
Apparently, the average working individual or interstate traveler is a viable source of shakedown revenue. Say hello to less trips and one less reason to hit the shores of jersey this summer. Tolls are set to go up to 5 dollars on the benny franklin, as well as an equally hefty 25% increase on the 3 other bridges, how long before its 6 dollars and since when is the traveling visitor or out of state worker an open target for robbery from public officials? Don't fake an attempt to hang your head low fat boy, you need a neck to be able to pull that off. We knew you sucked long before you ever took office. I suppose some of this blame could be placed on your fat sibling ed rendell as well since he butt raped your citizens and casino industry by introducing gambling in Pennsylvania.

The extra buck sucks (it now costs $100 just for the bridge to commute between Jersey and Philly), but who he is blaming and why is completely wrong.

I am more concerned with the increase in property taxes. The city keeps putting the grabs on the same people. I am glad that the city has apparently collected the unpaid property taxes from all the deadbeats in the city.

I wouldn't mind if they need to raise the toll, my problem is the business that run these bridges are now banks lending to programs. I see DVBA sponsored this, funded that etc... It's another bloated union...

The toll increase is because Rendell and Corzine took out debt on the bridges for "economic development" reasons as opposed to bridge maintenance and support.

Bingo! Raider.adam gets it. It will take years to undo the damage done to DRPA under Corzine and Rendell. Throw in a little Vince Fumo and John Doc for good measure. A recipe for fiscal disaster.
