Default NY Rep Weiner's Weener Is a Non Story
So ugh... let me get this straight. Someone on Twitter who really hates Rep. Andrew Weiner and has been obsessed with him for months (over 250 twitter posts) suddenly "breaks" a story that Weiner twitted a URL to a yfrog picture of Andrew Weiner's penis to someone on Twitter who was following him.

And then then BEFORE the picture (below) appears on Rep. Weiner's yfrog account, this person Tweets that something bad has just happened to Rep. Weiner and he's going to get it in the media.

Sorry. I just don't buy it.

If you're gonna run with a story like this and take someone down you're gonna need the actual penis. At least Brett Farve knows how to post creepy penis pictures and send them around to strangers he doesn't know.

Here's the picture. Ugh, this could be anybody:

Even Facebook agrees with me.

and I guess if it was from another party, the media and the democrats would be crying.
Sorry, if you are a senator or a rep, you have to present yourself in the best possible light.
In other words, be a grown adult and mature and not participate in crap like this.

Participate in what? There is a now well-documented hole in yfrog's system that allowed anyone to post to someone's account with just a little bit of effort and luck. So is it your argument that members of Congress should not use the Internet?

Rep. Weiner didn't post anything on Twitter to any of his followers, not a link to any crotch photo.

Andrew Weiner simply sucks at PR and damage control when someone launched a non-case against him.

And like the Shirley Sherrod fiasco, Andrew Breitbart is yet proving himself to be a wonk who doesn't fact check jack sh*t before he runs a story. Yet another piece of manufactured garbage by Breitbart.

NO!!!! I am saying don't be a scumbag and start texting or sending inappropriate crap like that!
And the funny thing is, when Weiner was approached about this from the media, he seemed very evasive.

I understand he tweeted 3 hours before and 4 minutes after the tweet in question. So it's unlikely the account was hacked.

Also, one of the people he followed was Ginger Lee, a porn star, who may have been the intended recipient, not the college
student, Gennette Cordova (he may have mixed up the names). The porn star had tweeted several times since March that she wanted to have sexual relations with Anthony Weiner.

On top of this, there's an old 2001 Vanity Fair article that about Capitol Hill interns that mentions how Weiner was emailing one of the interns repeatedly and asking her out.

Clearly, the guy is a playa.

I don't really care what he does in his spare time, but no one should believe the conspiracy theories that this was not an authentic tweet.

But he didn't actually tweet the URL to the yfrog picture.

Everyone is upset that the picture was sent to someone who didn't want to see it, and in their reporting of it the media has now shown the picture to 100 million people who didn't ask to see it.

Rep. Anthony Weiner admits to sending lewd photo
Comments 239
By Megan H. Chan, USA TODAY
Updated 1m agoRep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., arrives with other House Democrats at the White House in Washington on June 2.
CAPTIONBy Charles Dharapak, AP
Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., is held a news conference in New York. Last week, Weiner claimed his Twitter account had been hacked by someone who sent photos of a man's crotch to a young woman in Seattle. At the time, he said he could not say "with certitude" whether the photo was of him.

Update at 4:42 p.m.: When asked how he thought this may affect him politically, Weiner said of his constituents, "I will work hard to win back their trust and try to persuade them. I have worked very hard for my constituents ... Nothing about this should reflect on my official duties or on my oath of office ... I certainly used bad judgement here."

Updated at 4:38 p.m.: When asked if he had phone sex with any of the six women, Weiner said that he would not answer because he wants to respect the privacy of the women. He said he has never had sex outside of his marriage.

Updated at 4:37 p.m.: He said some of the communication dated back three years and that his wife knew about it before they were married. He said she did not know he lied about sending last week's Twitter photo.

Update at 4:35 p.m.:
"I was embarassed and I didn't want this to lead to other embarassing things. It was a dumb thing to do to tell lies about it because it just led to more lies."

Update at 4:34 p.m.:

"The last thing on this day when I've done this harm to my wife and my family. is thinking of this or next year's election. The first thing I need to do is make sure this never happens again"

"I'm not blaming anyone. This is my own personal mistake. This is a deep weakness I have demonstrated and for this I apologize."

Updated at 4:32 p.m.: When asked if he would apologize to conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, he said he is "first and foremost" sorry to his wife. He said the two have no plans to divorce. His wife did not appear at the press conference with him.

Updated at 4:31 p.m.: Weiner says that he had inappropriate communication with mostly women he met on Facebook.

Updated at 4:29 p.m.: "I do not have knowledge of every single communication, but I do not believe I used government resources."

Updated at 4:28 p.m.: Weiner says "To be clear, I am deeply regretting what I have done and I am not resigning."

Updated at 4:26 p.m.: Rep. Weiner says he would like to clear up questions and "take full responsibility for his actions." He says he sent the photo last week as a joke and after he sent it on Twitter, he panicked. He also admits to having inappropriate conversations with women online and one the phone and says he did not have any physical relationship with these women.

Updated at 4:13 p.m.: In a strange turn of events, Andrew Brietbart, the conservative blogger who published alleged new photos of Weiner Monday, took to the podium at the Sheraton hotel in New York where reporters have been waiting for Weiner to speak. "I'm here for vindication," Brietbart said, saying he was upset about being "accused of being a hacker against a congressman."

Weiner's appearance comes after more photos of the Democratic congressman surfaced Monday on Big Government, a website affiliated with conservative writer Andrew Brietbart. The website said the photos were provided by a woman who said Weiner sent them to her last month.

Last week, Weiner denied sending a lewd photo of a man's crotch to a young woman in Seattle via Twitter, claiming he was the victim of a prankster. But he declined to confirm or deny whether the photo was of him.

Among the photos posted Monday on Big Government is an image of a bare-chested man, flexing his muscles. He is visible only from the nose down and appears to be in an office, with a series of framed photos behind him. In another photo, Weiner is sitting on a sofa with two cats by his side.

Last year, Weiner, 46, married Huma Abedin, a veteran aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I think that his bad judgment really should reflect upon his ability to execute the duties of his office. I am really tired of these numbskulls and idiots who think it's ok to flaunt their weenies, step out on their mates, and in general behave poorly, because..."they work so hard for their constituents". Boo hoo, cry me a freaking river.

Really? I mean, I don't care too much how he "flaunts his weenie," not that it's behavior I'd encourage. What I don't like is the "uhhh, I was hacked... but, I can't say it was mine". He knew it was his. The second he said that I knew it would come out later that he had done it.

It appears he sent a real dic pic to nursing student Meghan Broussard:

On May 18, Broussard received an image from the RockOh77 account that shows a man's erect penis. Two days later, she received a shot of a bare-chested man sitting at an office desk. The man in the photo shares facial features with Weiner, and personal photographs in the background resemble his known aquaintances.

"I don't think he has any control over what he's doing in this area," Broussard said. "I don't think someone can be that open in that amount of time."

The relationship between Broussard and Weiner only ventured out of the digital world once, she said, when a man identifying himself as Weiner called by phone from a number associated with Weiner's New York congressional office on the afternoon of May 18.

"The day he called he just said, 'Who in the world would be acting like me?' laughing about it," she said.

"You're an internet rat, aren't you?" Broussard said she asked him, to which Weiner just sort of giggled.

Then, she says, the conversation got personal. "He heard her [Broussard's daughter] in the background, I think, and he said, 'Oh is that --' and then he said her name, and I said, 'yeah, it's her birthday,' and that kind of freaked me out because you had to pilfer through my Facebook to find out her name."

After they hung up, Broussard said she called the number back to see if it was actually him. A Weiner office receptionist answered, she said. Broussard provided a record of the call to ABC News.

Their last correspondence, she says, was through Facebook message on May 27, just hours before the alleged "hack" of Weiner's Twitter account occurred.

"Are you offline?" Broussard wrote at 3:37 pm. "Crashed back up," Weiner replied at 4:21 pm. Broussard last sent messages via Facebook and email to the man she believed to be Weiner on May 31, but has not received replies.

"I don't think he's a bad guy. I think he's got issues just like everybody else," Broussard said. "Everyone's standards are different, but to be elected to Congress and sit there all day on Facebook and chatting?"

Yes, bad judgment. It's bad judgment for anyone, much less an elected official to send lewd photos of themselves. Apparently no one understands discretion. Further, with this sort of exhibited bad behavior, you just start to wonder what else is going on? How are those campaign finances being taken care of?...etc.

He didn't make you look like a fool. He lied to you and everyone else. Repeatedly. If he had any sense of honor he would resign. Now!

The second Weiner said he couldn't be sure the photo was of him, I knew there was more to this story. Either he took photos of himself in his underwear, or he didn't. There's no "gee I'm not sure" middle ground there.

Honestly, the part that bothers me the most is how freaking stupid he was about his online "relationships." All he had to do was set up duplicate private accounts and manage to keep his private stuff away from his official accounts. But I guess the fact that he went out of his way to prove to these women that he was really Anthony Weiner says a lot about him.

Ugh, this just makes me want to vote for more women. They don't seem to have nearly as much trouble keeping their pants on while in office.

I just don't understand this story at all. It made sense to me that the guy complaining about Weiner on twitter all day, who conveniently happened to have the only screencap of the the photo getting posted and who somehow seemed to "know" something bad was about to go down, had a hand in making the story up.

Because seriously, Congressmen can do shockingly dumb things, but no on is actually dumb enough to yfrog a public picture of his junk, right?

Right?!

Did you actually see his junk?

I just see a semi stiffie in underwear.

I think this is far away from stuffing a stogie in some woman's cooter in the Oval Office.
