SENATOR CALLS ON BUSH TO TAKE DOWN ATTACK ADSat Dec 10 2005 16:41:38 ET
Today, Senator Daniel Inouye, the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his service in World War II, released the following statement: "As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the President’s plays no part in it. "The Republican Party’s latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately." http://www.drudgereport.com/flash9.htm Democrats have had a field day calling President Bush a liar, calling our soldiers terrorists, and in general acting like the America hating maggots they are. Now that the Republicans are fighting back the Democrats want to start crying. Hell no! Attack them at every turn. Expose them for the America haters and traitors they are and never let up. Keep hammering them and their surrender whines and keep hammering them on the tax issue. Show them for that they are, a bunch of tax raising power hungry, America hating traitors. Next year is election year and it's time to characterize the Democrats for what they are. Keep turning up the heat - Americans hate whiners and cry babies. Keep turning up the heat and drive the Democrats to desperation. They are so funny when they get desperate. |

Saving space and threads I thought this is too rich to ignore so I decided to just add this:
Joe Lieberman: Republican Posterboy Out with Rumsfeld, in with the senator from Connecticut? by James Ridgeway December 9th, 2005 5:28 PM Washington, D.C.—If Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld retires and gets replaced by Democratic senator Joe Lieberman—the hot speculation here this week—what would America get out of the deal? Well, another hawk who never went to war, for one thing. And what would President Bush get? A wedge to keep the Democrats from uniting behind Representative John Murtha against the war in Iraq. Here's a look at Lieberman, Republican posterboy: http://www.villagevoice.com/news/055...y,70900,2.html This is another huge potential win-win for Republicans if they can woo Lieberman into changing parties. I'm sure Karl Rove is all over this like Democrats are over bad news. I would love it if the Democrats turn up the heat on Lieberman and get him to bolt the party. That would be a great Christmas gift to the Republican party. It would be an immense wedge into the heart of the Democratic party. |

Lieberman's Iraq Stance Brings Widening Split With His Party
By RAYMOND HERNANDEZ and WILLIAM YARDLEY WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 - Five years after running as the vice-presidential nominee on the Democratic ticket and a year after his own presidential bid, Senator Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut has become an increasingly unwelcome figure within his party, with some Democrats seeing him more as a wayward son than a favorite son. In the last few days, the senator has riled Democratic activists and politicians here and in his home state with his vigorous defense of President Bush's handling of the Iraq war at a time some Democrats are pressuring the administration to begin a withdrawal. Mr. Lieberman particularly infuriated his colleagues when he pointed out at a conference here that President Bush would be commander in chief for three more years and said that "it's time for Democrats who distrust President Bush to acknowledge that." http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/10/po...gewanted=print Yeah Demo Cry Babies, grow up and face the fact. Three more years! Then will come another Republican President for at least 8 more years, so hang on to your butts, it's going to be a fun ride! Three more years! Oh golly gee, I really hope Senator Lieberman bolts the Democratic party. The liberals are already having a feeding frency against Hillary, so this all looks real well for us evil Neocons. |

Dang, Gadfly, I think you need to take a cold shower before you make a mess. Karl Rove is doing a masterful job on the political front, Howie Dean is doing all he can to turn of middle America, and Nancy Pelosi is scaring the crap out of the Middle Class, so all in all I'm going to have a wonderful Christ mas. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgement seat: Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on. Will the last liberal please turn out the lights? |

Well you know it's a slow news period and the 2006 election hype is just barely getting started, so now is a good time to see what is going on with the two parties.
Democrats are on a self-destructive charge to destruction and there seems no one that can rescue them because the charge is being led by the wacky left who will eat anyone who dares to attempt to oppose them. Carville: Carville: Dems need stronger narrative to win By Elizabeth Gibson October 07, 2005 The problem with Democrat campaign speeches is “litany,” and they need more narrative like Winnie the Pooh stories, political consultant and pundit James Carville said. At a speech sponsored by the Northwestern College Democrats Thursday evening, Carville told the audience that Democratic candidates can’t succeed by shouting out to every group in a crowd. Instead candidates should tell stories with the three elements of any good story — setup, conflict and resolution. “No Kumbayah crap,” Carville said. Even W.E.B. admits the same position I have except he disavows my message and expects everyone to worship his: W.E.B.: Can anyone name a single exciting Democratic idea for dealing with poverty? Or crime? Or reforming the public sector? Or winning the Kulturkampf with Islamic extremism? In fact, can anyone name a single exciting Democratic idea, full stop? The Democrats have squandered their years in opposition railing against the Republicans rather than recharging their intellectual batteries. They may be winning a few political battles of late—largely because of Republican incompetence. But they are losing the vision wars. Hell, I could not have written that any better. No vision thing. No answers. No solutions. Just a long littany of whines. W.E.B. writes pretty well when he is not on the defense and insulting everyone. When HE writes the Demos suck, folks should take notice because he is every bit the ideolog I am, only I don't insult people. The most telling part is the only replies I get from the wacky left to this thread right here is a bunch of nonsense noise and idiotic remarks about cold showers. The truth hurts and Democrats hate the truth. The wacky left has no answers so they resort to sex (predictable) in order to show their disapproval. It sure does not look good for the Democratic party. I have no idea what will get them to turn from the extreme left position they are in but they are definitely going to continue to lose election after election until their destruction is total. Whoohoo, good news for the good guys, the Neocons who do have a vision, who do have the solutions, who love America, who will defend America, who act instead of cry. Carry on Neocons, victory is ours to grab and it's for the Democrats to run away from! |

Even W.E.B. admits the same position I have except he disavows my message and expects everyone to worship his: Also, you do insult people, so you are lying there. Weren't you temporarily banned from USPOL? Why did that happen? For NOT insulting people? ![]() I admit that I have insulted people. Racists like Native American and bigots like Eurosocialist. I guess I see a difference between them, yourself and most of the other regular folk who come on this forum. I find it disgusting when you would try to claim that I am on your ignorant partisan level. Also, given that I am a registered Democrat, how can I be "every bit the ideologue you are" and still criticize my own party, as you have just shown? I know I'm not getting an answer to that one, so I won't hold my breath. Lastly, people do notice your comments and they notice mine. I approach everything critically. You approach everything comically. You get your credit for that. |

Alright, Gadfly, let me try this once again, and this time minus the outrage. I know it's a wasted effort, but why the fuck not?
Here's the primary reason why you are a partisan, but not me (though I am somewhat partisan insofar as I am loyal to several ideals). It still makes you several magnitudes of order more partisan and blind than myself. You just bash. I argue. You see the difference? A tape recorder, if recorded from the right person can do bashing. It requires no thought, and it has no value. Arguing is completely different. It means being open-minded, using things like logic, looking for truth, knowledge and maybe even different ways of looking at things. It also requires tolerance. These words are like a joke to you. Most people take those kinds of things seriously, and since you don't, then they can't take you seriously either. Your response will be very interesting, I'm sure. |
