Default GOP race and Tea Party
Cain is done.
Perry is done.

Is Newt gonna win this thing, afterall?

Conservative agenda loses in Ohio, Mississippi, and you could say, Arizona...has the Tea Party run its course?

Is the pendulum swinging back toward normal?

If Newt wins the nomination, Obama can start planning his second inauguration. Of course having said that I am reminded of the skits SNL had in mid 1991 about Dems choosing straws over who would have to run again Bush sr. He was considered THAT unbeatable. American politics is mercurial to say the least.

A few months ago I thought no way Obama will win again.

Now, I'm not so sure. He just needs to change the dialog on the economy a little and he's in there.

I tell ya...saw Bill Clinton on some talk show the other day plugging his new book...that dude still got it, better than ever maybe. He is a guy that could direct the national dialog and get Obama reelected. You can disagree with his politics...but he's damn good.

To be honest, the only candidate right now who doesn't look like a total basketcase is Romney - yet ironically this is the one candidate Republicans can agree on that they hate.

Except that some of Clinton's statements are diametrically opposed to Obama’s position. American Crossroads, a (what I assume to be) pro-GOP group has seized on this and put out a TV ad contrasting the two. Clinton is trying to back off his statements but the damage has been done. And to some degree Clinton’s remarks are a bit disingenuous; which I suppose is somewhat fair in responding to a political ad. There are times I believe that Clinton wants to be the first President to serve non-consecutive terms (although I believe the 22nd amendment would prohibit this).

It would for the moment, although I believe the distinction goes to Grover Cleveland on this. However, as of FDR of course two terms and your out has been the rule of the day. I agree, I think Clinton in particular wouldn't mind if that amendment went way, although he may have some more whole world-influencing ambitions at this point.
