Default Dims try to distance themselves from Colbert debacle
This Zoe Lofgren ought to be tossed out of the house on her fat ass. Does she think her job is a joke??
TEA Partiers would be wise to keep this on the front page. We need some adults in congress for a change.

House leader calls Colbert testimony 'an embarrassment'

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House's No. 2 Democratic leader said Sunday that comedian Stephen Colbert's testimony last week on immigration was "inappropriate" and "an embarrassment."
Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California invited Colbert to appear before the House Judiciary Committee. But other Democrats weren't happy about her decision.

The committee chairman, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., asked Colbert to leave the room at the beginning of the hearing because the comedian had no expertise in farm labor issues or immigration policy.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland told Fox News Sunday he thought the episode was more of an embarrassment to Colbert than to the House. But, he added, "I think it was inappropriate" that he testified.

Lofgren spokesman Pedro Ribeiro declined comment Sunday.

Yes....very clearly the party of donkeys are innocent of any wrongdoing here.....

Fuking comedians....and their jokes and satire.......

People dumb enough to vote dems in....deserve to be placed in a mental asylum.

Dems are inviting in characters like Lady Gaga, and Brat Pitt to represent them, so I am not surprised to hear this. It's truly sad.

That just proves that the Dimodopes have nothing on their side. Resorting to taking in pathetic, brain-dead Hollywood figures.

Good. Then we could assassinate him.

You haven't been able to assassinate Obama.

To clarify: I want Obama to go down in history for every one of his fuck ups. I don't want to hear about how the nigger got shot in office, blah blah blah....

He probably will.. 1/20/2013 = Happy day for us all!

Then, hopefully, the people will be smart enough not to vote in a slick communist in disguise into office ever again.

I think it is ironic that House leaders are saying that Colbert's speech was an embarrassment, when the House itself is an embarrassment.

True enough. But it goes beyond that. The very idea of inviting a jokster to testify before congress is so absurd, it defies all reason.
This congress should be disbanded and all their previous accomplishments should be reversed. All their words should be stricken from the record as if they never existed.

Nazi Pelosi wasn't even smart enough to realize that Colbert was in character. How stupid is that woman anyway?

Lots of "celebrities" testify before Congress, and have for years. None of them have ever done so in "character". And for the first time in my adult life, I'm proud of Steny Hoyer.

I agree, but they invited him! He didn't invite himself!

I think that even though he was telling jokes, he got a lot more accomplished than the baseball steroid hearings, or non apologetic CEOs.
