Default Bishop Ambrose reposes
ROCOR Bishop Ambrose, retired bishop of Geneva and Western Europe, has reposed. May his memory be eternal.

I have asked elsewhere but wonder whether anybody here may be able to help as conflicting information about when he reposed has been published. The Synod website has an article on its homepage dated the 22nd of July, which says that he reposed "today", (presumably meaning the 22nd of July), although when you click on the article, the date at the top is actually the 22nd of June. However, if you go to the Western European diocese website, it gives the date as the 20th of July. As a result, we're not sure when to serve which services for him.

Is anybody able to help?

Thank you.

According to the ukaz sent out to our local clergy of the Canadian Diocese (rocor), Bishop Ambrose reposed on July 22. This ukaz further blesses us to serve a litya for the reposed for Bishop Ambrose on Sunday after the Liturgy.

Memory eternal!

Thank you, all.

I ended up e-mailing Archbishop Mark who confirmed that it was indeed the 20th. I think the Synod site perhaps got its wires crossed and that the Western European diocese site is more likely correct. In any case, we served a pannykhida yesterday after the Liturgy.

In Christ,
Michael
