Sounds like the kid has much bigger problems than that!

I am curious why the monachos server picked up this story to relate to us.

It is one of the great mysteries of the faith, why servers do the things they do.

I think it's because many of them are priests' sons - it's enough to make anyone mad.

Dear Alex, this provided a lovely moment of sublime confusion for me. Since I was talking about computer/web servers, it took a good six or seven attempts at discovering the nature of your metaphor before I realised you were in fact talking about the boys who serve 'round the altar.

Trying to sort out how most computers were in fact the sons of priests had me well and truly stumped.

I hope it made you laugh.

Perhaps we've stumbled upon some deep meaning, that servers and servers are connected: no matter how many times you tell them what to do, they insist on doing it their own way!

This reminds me of the recent fun we had with censers and censors, incense and all that - ah, the joys of the English language!

Yes, but how much should we tip?
