I'm curious about this particular news report. I understand that it is a good thing to try to include people from outside to participate in their schooling system, but in Australia, at least, Catholic etc schools (both primary and secondary) have mandatory scripture classes. In high school this is up to Year 10, and many people that I knew at school that wanted to go to one of these high schools waited until senior school before they entered to avoid the scripture classes (that and they're apparently easier to get places in during year 11/12). I'm not sure what the case is over there though, so such a point may not apply to them. If it did apply, though, wouldn't other parents be worried about the influence? I suppose, on the other hand, that they'd already know about this before enrolling their child(ren) in the school of choice.

So basically I'd just like to know a bit about those schools like C of E as mentioned in the article.

Hope I've made sense.

In Christ,
Christina
