Is there any information around regarding the location of a fund to help out those that have suffered so much in Russia.
HELLENIC REPUBLIC THE HOLY SYNOD OF THE CHURCH OF GREECE 14 IOANNOU GENNADIOU STREET 115 21 ATHENS Register No. 2853 Dispatch No. 1626 Your Beatitude, Most Holy Patriarch A l e x i o s of Moscow and All Russia, our much beloved brother in Christ our God and co-celebrant of our Mediocrity, embracing Your All-Holy Beatitude in the Lord, we greet You with the greatest pleasure. Following our Synodal Letter No. 2835/1604 of September 3 of the current year, we would like to express to You once again, on the one hand, our most sincere condolences, and, on the other hand, our abhorrence at the terrorist attack in a school of Northern Ossetia against young pupils and at the loss of so many innocent victims. Furthermore, we communicate with Your much beloved Beatitude in order to inform You that, as a token of our undivided standing by Your Beatitude and Its spiritual children in distress, the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece decided to proceed, through the Non-Governmental Organisation of our Church “Solidarity” to the restoration of the damage caused to the aforementioned school of the town Beslan in Northern Ossetia, in close co-operation with the International Development Service of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, “Solidarity” will erect in the schoolyard a small church in honour of our Holy Father Stylianos of Paflagonia, protector of children, in memory of the innocent victims of this cowardly terrorist attack and for the protection of the pupils attending the school. In the hope that Your Beatitude will accept this offer as a tangible proof of our sincere love and sympathy of our entire God-loving people of Greece, we pray to the Leader of our lives, that He may keep Your beloved Beatitude and the Christ-loving and pious people of Russia under His protection. Finally, may we embrace once again Your Revered Beatitude and remain in the Lord. Athens, September 6, 2004 |

Here are a few that I have seen:
http://www.moscowhelp.org/ (Evidently this is the one recommended by Russian Federation consulates in the U.S.) I also saw somewhere this morning that the Orthodox Church in America is planning a relief effort. |
