Lady Gaga is often spotted wearing an array of magical outfits that would put even the most seasoned costume party-goer to shame.But Mother Monster finally surpassed herself last night (Saturday) as she brought the Born This Way Ball to Twickenham in true over-the-top Gaga style.The 26-year-old wore an angelic white dress with silver sparkle trim, a gold tiara and her long blonde flowing locks framing her face.

Lady Gaga has been touring the world supporting her 2011 album Born This Way – which spawned hit singles Judas, The Edge of Glory and Marry the Night to name a few.Gaga informed the enthusiastic audience that she had been told at the start of her career that she had been trying to ‘cater to a niche - weird people.’But a defiant Gaga is now laughing in the face of her early critics, telling the Twickenham crowd: ‘Well this is a big f**king niche. I quite like our little stadium niche.’

Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, instructed the 100,000 strong crowd to ‘flash your boobies’ and insisted that as with any great party, there should be plenty of ‘singing, dancing, vomiting and smoking.’The svelte blonde singer promised fans that she would, ‘dance and sing my p***y off as much as I can’ – and she certainly delivered.She sang her heart out at the Ball, whilst donning an array of bizarre outfits including a unique futuristic rams head mask teamed with an eccentric white mini dress.

Gaga also wore a black G-string, a Union Jack flag and white T-shirt emblazoned with the name of her upcoming album, Art Pop.Old favourites such as Poker Face and Bad Romance were lapped up by the crowd, who were then treated to a very special performance of a new track from Lady Gaga.The track, which Lady Gaga wrote in honour of the late Princess Diana, is controversially entitled Princess D.I.E. – with the singer being well aware of the stir it could cause.

Lady Gaga told the crowd: ‘I predict controversy, but I don't care. Princess Diana was the most important person for me growing up - let's take a moment to appreciate her presence and what she means.’She also dedicated the track to Amy Winehouse, who passed away last summer at the young age of 27, Gaga added: ‘Losing Amy was a tragedy, let's sing it for her.’Lady Gaga chose Twickenham to debut a new cover also – singing John Lennon’s Imagine to rapturous applause.The superstar took to Twitter after the gig to share her thoughts with fans: ‘Twickenham, im not even sure what to say. I'll never forget tonight. London you were the fairest of the ball. now THAT was f*cking fun.’ (sic)The Born This Way Ball continues for a second night this evening (Sunday) at Twickenham Stadium.
