iPhone 5 to be taller, have front and back camera: report 2012-05-23 Rumors say the iPhone 5 may be launched in September. (Internet photo) The latest iPhone 5 leak was published Tuesday, which revealed that the new generation of Apple's smartphone will feature with 3.95-inch display, taller than the current model, according to Macrumors, a website dedicated to Apple news and rumors with user contributions and commentary. The next-generation smartphone is said to be in its near-final stages. The new iPhone was shown in pictures by a photographer working with a 3.95-inch display that is apparently identical to the one the next iPod Touch will use. The other new features of the next-generation iPhone include a home button flex cable and front and rear cameras, although the camera parts are listed as needing "verification," so the supplier may yet be confirming their authenticity. It has become routine for partial leaks to come from Apple's supply chain in the months leading up to a product launch. The plastic home buttons were the first to be revealed last month, followed by a micro-SIM tray and what appeared to be a headphone jack. The authenticity of all of the parts has yet to be confirmed, but history suggests these rumors are genuine leaks from Apple's supply chain. |
