Police on Wednesday morning searched a townhouse in Soi Navamin 111, Bangkok, and found one million methamphetamine pills, or yaba, stored inside it.

Pol Lt-Gen Chaiwat Chotima, commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, said Wichit Phattaranonwongsa, 37, and Channarong Chomboonruang, 26, were arrested on charges of possessing illicit drugs.

Pol Lt Gen Chaiwat said the house was being used as a warehouse for drugs smuggled from the North.
