The 3D version of James Cameron's epic movie Titanic will hit theaters in China on Tuesday, though it is reported that the scene where Jack sketches Rose in the nude will be censored, according to Mtime.net, even though most viewers in the country have already seen the film in its uncut version.

The rumor has triggered uproar on the internet, with one netizen getting directly to the point: "What a shame the nudity in the 3D version of Titanic has been censored, I'm not looking for a three-dimensional iceberg after 15 years of waiting!"

Netizens joked that the reason that the nude scene in Titanic wasn't chopped out on its first release 15 years ago but will be deleted in the 3D version could be out of fear that the audience may reach out to touch the fulsome Kate, resulting in them hitting the head of the person in front and causing an argument.

Another netizen called "Cambrian" said: "Regarding the nude scene being deleted from the new 3D version of Titanic, I just want to quote the corny phrase from our high school years — the wheels of history turn, but their track is in reverse."

Michele Wang Xiaozheng said: "It's terrible, I have watched the nude scene in the movie since junior high school, yet now I am a grown woman I have to see the abridged version. Are we wearing the 3D glasses to see a cartoon of a boat hitting an iceberg? It doesn't make sense at all!"

Not all believe the rumor, however. Wu Qianli, a staff member working at the Zhengyang Star Cineplex, said, "I think they will not delete the nude scene, they retained that part a dozen years ago when it was released and now people are more open — if they delete that part the fans will be disappointed."
