(Photo/CNS) Contract electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn will need to recruit 20,000 workers for a factory in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, that will produce Apple iPhones, reports state-run China News Service. An employee at the Taiyuan factory said that workers are in high demand at the new factory. After receiving an Apple contract to produce 85% of its next generation iPhone, Taiwan-based Foxconn will need to produce at least 57 million smartphones a year. A Foxconn recruiter said that the company will hold 20 recruitment sessions throughout the city. According to the recruiter, advertisements for the recruitment will be posted across Taiyuan. "We need employees between the ages of 16 and 40, and they don't need to have any educational background to get the job", he said. He added that employees will receive higher pay than that of last year. |
