Danny Ng, victim of the incident The assault on a KFC customer at Shah Alam i-City came after the outlet ran out of chicken and not because of any racist remark, said the witness who filmed the incident and posted it online. The witness, who only wanted to be known as Jess, said victim Danny Ng had angrily told the staff: "If there's no more chicken, you tell us lah!" She told reporters yesterday that the staff then replied: "You jangan kurang ajar (don't be rude)." Her declaration supports Ng's earlier statement that the assault had not been provoked by racist comments. Jess, 42, whose video posted on Facebook has since gone viral, said the victim had asked for an apology and threatened to lodge a police report. In the video clip, several KFC staff can be seen attempting to hold their colleague back after the heated exchange but he managed to land a punch on Ng during the incident, which occurred on Monday night. Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad, who was also at the press conference, said: "This is an issue about fried chicken, so please do not speculate until it becomes racist in nature." Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng said the police had asked Ng to identify his assailant at an identification parade in the Shah Alam police headquarters yesterday. Separately, KFC Malaysia ex**pressed deep regret over the assault and said it had suspended the worker involved as well as other members of the team. Its deputy president Alan Au said an extensive internal investigation had been launched and a police report lodged. |

Certain quarters not involved in the incident had alleged that it was over racial issues. George Town, Malaysia, February 11, 2012 Malaysian cops have warned those not involved in the KFC fracas in Shah Alam not to meddle in the incident. Deputy IGP Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar told the media:"This is a problem between the customer and the company and parties who are not involved should not interfere or try to instigate the situation." Malaysian media had splashed news of the fight between the customer and restaurant staff after the outlet ran out of fried chicken. But certain partiesalleged that it was caused by racial issues. Datuk Khalid said the issue could be resolved "through discussions between the parties involved, without any outside interference". Meanwhile, Selangor police deputy chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan said investigations into the case would be completed in a week. He said the police had recorded statements by staff of the restaurant. |

I remember years ago, pop in to order takeaway just before closing time. When I reached the front of the queue, the staff told me no more chicken. I pointed out the tray behind him where there were newly cooked chicken pieces. He told me that was for staff. I guess nothing has changed.
No matter how this is treated the underlying factor is the long simmering racial tension where the minority is feeding the majority and there is resentment both ways. Razak NEP is an abject failure more in terms of execution. It has been abused. Everytime a member of minority attempts to seek redress on any issue how trivial it is, he had to watch his tone and mannerism. |

Some Malays are really lazy. They are not there to work properly. I witness this kind of people doing this kind of thing quite a few times already. No more house moving by muds ! One of our things were lost along the way too. Got mud gangsters (infestation) in certain gyms too. So, beware. No gang, no chiong. |
