Body of Aussie base jumper to be flown home

ALOR SETAR: The body of the 42-year-old Australian base jumper who was killed when her parachute failed to open after she dived from Alor Setar Tower will be flown home by the Australian High Commission. Alor Setar Tower general manager Mazlan Mahmud said Kylie Tanti Marion’s remains would be sent back as soon as the authorities completed a post-mortem at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital. Marion’s parachute failed to open when she leapt from the 165m-high tower on Tuesday. She died at the scene. Marion, together with 19 other local and international base jumpers, were training for the three-day KL Tower International Jump which begins on Oct 7.
