The lake of floating garbage Updated: 2010-09-06 13:32 Ships sail on a lake covered by thick floating garbage in Beichuan county, Southwest China's Sichuan province, Sept 5, 2010. Some 200,000 cubic meters of garbage has been dumped on the lake by lingering rainstorms and mudslides since mid-August. A team of six ships and more than 30 workers are yet to finish collecting the garbage which started on August 15.
