Colonel Qaddafi, speaking in an impassioned 30 minute phone call to a Libyan television station, appeared particularly incensed by the revolt in Zawiya, close as it was to the capital. In a rambling discourse, he blamed the uprising on the leader of Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, saying he had drugged the people, giving them “hallucinogenic pills in their coffee with milk, like Nescafe.” “Those people who took your sons away from you and gave them drugs and said let them die are launching a campaign over cellphones against your sons, telling them not to obey their fathers and mothers, and they are destroying their country,” he said. |

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/25/wo...a/25libya.html He doesn't take the typical tinpot slant blaming the CIA, USA, Zionist Conspiracy etc .. he blames it on hallucinogenics. This is a man obviously hip to popular culture.. bravo Muammar bravo |

Ok, (once again they move slow) was about to happen ...so the "Bundesrat" will freeze the assets !! (not much left if I look at the numbers)
Switzerland freezes Gaddafi assets. - swissinfo nice payback for the two swiss hostages (max goeldi and Rachid Hamdani) held last year in Lybia... “In order to pre-empt any misuse of state funds, the cabinet today decided to block all assets in Switzerland belonging to Moammar Gaddafi and his entourage with immediate effect,” a ministry statement said. |

If it wouldnt become a public relations nightmare, I'm willing to bet that the US would be sending troops into Libya right now.
The citizens would be called insurgents and protests would be called acts of terrorism. I predict that as soon as there is a new front page story we're going to be sending troops in to "secure our interests". Especially when oil prices continue to increase. |

And I thought the Egypt guy was crazy.... Putting on a dictatin’ clinic if reports are true. His military smacked a mosque housing protestors w/ missiles and big time auto-weapons. Anyone in his military who refuses his order he burns alive and hires some mercenary nut-jobs from next door. After all these protests we have seen in the ME .. finally a dictator is dictatin’. How can Mubarack even be considered a dictator if didn’t lay siege to his own people? LULZ .. |

getting more bizarre...
israel today | Libya's Gaddafi could find refuge in Israel - israel today “The story goes that Gaddafi’s grandmother, herself a Jewess, was married to a Jewish man at first. But he treated her badly, so she ran away and married a Muslim sheikh. Their child was the mother of Gaddafi.” While Gaddafi’s grandmother converted to Islam when she married the sheikh, according to Jewish religious law (and common sense), she was ethnically still Jewish. If the story told by Brown and Saada is true, Gaddafi is entitled to immigrate to Israel as a Jew under Israel’s Law of Return. Even if every other country on earth refused him entry, Israel would be obligated by its own laws to take Gaddafi in. http://www.facebook.com/17022011libya?v=wall According to Ridha Ajmi ,Switzerland Khaddafi funds have an amounting to several billion Swiss francs. He believes that most of the hidden assets of the Ghadhafi clan are in Italy and the USA. Several billion francs in 2008 had been transferred after the affair of Hannibal Khaddafi (Geneva) of Switzerland to the United States. well we have to freeze em over here... |
