Default NYTimes Trashes the President's House
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/15/ar...m.html?_r=1&hp

I hate to say it... but they're pretty accurate about what the new President's House is like when you visit it.

And here I thought it was all about the White House and a bunch of fried chicken bones left laying around in planters.

Hope this picture isn't a prognostication of it being a trash receptacle.

Another poorly designed and poorly executed National Parks exhibit that will probably contribute nothing to Independence Mall except more security hassles.

NY Times; " The need for some such memorial is keen, but here it seems thumped down as an intrusion "

Was never impressed by this whole concept, and will only visit by accident.

It's neither aesthetically pleasing nor does it really shine a light on slavery and really teach us anything. The nicest part of it will be the window into the archaeological progress. Can't we just deal with the fact that most of the founding fathers owned slaves--and if they didn't they probably didn't like blacks too much anyways...
