No kidding! I passed by Bath Iron Works going to a relative's wedding a few years back. There were some Arleigh Burke destroyers docked. Awesome sight to behold. The one I saw was from my Uncle's boat and since he spent 20+ years in the Navy he could answer some questions about the ship which made seeing it that much cooler. |

So.... you're actually going to go all grammar nazi on someone who's apparently fluent in five different languages, and actively reading news in all of them at the same time? Hot. It's like an asshat who calls everyone a nazi, even though that term has no relativity to anything going on. Using that term willy nilly is pretty pathetic, overdone, and just penile (means like a dick). |

No, your little attack mode is what makes you a dick. If someone wants to brag about his intellectual and linguistic prowess, horsing up a four letter, monsyllabic word kind of takes from the credibility. I had fun with that. |

If only. Let's see what happens here. Due to the complexities of law in international waters and the questionable judgement of Eric Holder, the policy OUGHT to be blow them out of the water, and send them to allah. But anyway, if someone opens fire on you or your vessel on the high seas, you should be able to fire back. I would not support any sort of pre-emptive attacks on pirates (although it'd be nice for the UN to organize a raid on a pirate base or two ). No kidding! I passed by Bath Iron Works going to a relative's wedding a few years back. There were some Arleigh Burke destroyers docked. Awesome sight to behold. Glad that we still make something here. :P |

Love it...Thanks to the Members of the U.S. Navy in the Gulf of Aden...
Members of the U.S. Navy in the Gulf of Aden have six suspected pirates captured after their amphibious ship of them had been shot at. The "USS Ashland" was on a routine patrol in the Horn of Africa, when opened, six men from their dinghy from the fire, they said in a statement the navy. A Turkish freighter was meanwhile released because of poor charge again. It is the third confrontation between the U.S. Navy and pirates within ten days, during which a total of 21 suspects were captured. In two cases, the American ships had previously come under fire. |

Why did they attack a military vessel? The Ashland is a "dock landing ship" and the fact that it's a military ship may not be as obvious as if it were, say, a destroyer. I could see how an idiot would mistake it for a cargo ship or something similar. It's not exactly bristling with guns: __Jason |
