Nice that they won their first gold medal!

I felt bad for their women's hockey team. Especially the goalie. I only caught the 3rd period, but she really seemed to be on her own in the net.

I felt bad for their women's hockey team. Especially the goalie. I only caught the 3rd period, but she really seemed to be on her own in the net.

About 6 months ago the Slovak Women's Hockey Team beat Bulgaria 82-0. Of course Bulgaria only has 3 ice rinks so ice hockey is not big there.

My Slovak-American was thrilled. Then she asked me what the biathlon was.

It's funny, when I was younger the big event of the Summer Olympics was the Decathlon but they never show that competition anymore. Track & Field is hardly covered at all. Overall I would say there is less coverage of sports and more talk and interview.

About 6 months ago the Slovak Women's Hockey Team beat Bulgaria 82-0. Of course Bulgaria only has 3 ice rinks so ice hockey is not big there.

Maybe they're suffering bad karma for that relentless slaughtering!
