Jakarta police seize 46,000 ecstasy pills in raid The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network


The Jakarta police have confiscated 46,000 ecstasy pills worth more than Rp 6.7 billion (S$1.025 million) following a raid on a factory located in Pluit Timur housing complex in North Jakarta on Thursday night.

The anti-narcotic detectives arrested four men during the crackdown. They also seized 29,000 bromazepam sedative pills under the generic name of Lexotan, 385 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 17 kilograms of ketamine powder or known as "date-rape" drug.

The men arrested, identified as Pintarjo of Tamansari district, West Jakarta, Yudin, Madam, and Andi - all residents of Pandeglang regency, Banten province, have been named suspects. They are being detained at the West Jakarta police precinct for questioning.
