TAMPIN (NEGERI SEMBILAN) - AN 18-YEAR-OLD girl got the shock of her life when she returned home to a remote Negeri Sembilan village on Tuesday to find four family members dead with multiple stab wounds. Police have arrested a 34-year-old man who is believed to be a relative. Ninety-year-old Atan Daud, his 80-year-old wife Sofiah Katas, their 76-year-old son-in-law Ismail Awang and 22-year-old granddaughter Siti Khatijah Ismail had severe slash wounds and were believed to have died on the spot from their injuries. The New Straits Times reported that Mr Ismail's decapitated body was found in his in-laws' house just 20m away from his own home, together with the bodies of his in-laws. Mr Atan's left hand and Madam Sofiah's right hand had been severed. Only Mr Ismail's daughter Siti Khatijah was found dead in the other house. Her body was the first to be discovered by her 18-year-old sister Siti Mariam. She saw Ms Siti Khatijah lying motionless on the porch of their house in Kampung Batang Rokan, about 40km from Tampin, The Star newspaper reported.

The above-named victim was also a sister of Fat Lady Rosemah Mansor's father, Mansor Katas. Reporters were threatened and discouraged from reporting and their taped interviews were consficated by the police. Are there more than meets the eyes ???
