She sounded the same to me...
You people crack me up, Al Gore being escorted around the airport screening, Hillary sounding different down south......you WISH they were doing something REAL to complain about, you just can't WAIT for one of them to fuck up. Sit down rabid righties, take a breath, relax. |

Mrs M, the rabidness is in the making of the threads themselves. Threads about inane, stupid, petty trivial issues.
This one, the Al Gore one, the Obama one (that turned out to be a lie!) all the threads about Democrats doing something trivial, because there is nothing to smear them with......so far they've been staying outta trouble. That's when the rabid righties start making threads like this one. |

You didn't comprehend my point. Which is:
There is no story here. Same with the Al Gore airport thread. The Obama lie, at least there was the story about the right wing lie..... Don't you see what you're doing? Making threads about nothing, like a Seinfeld episode. You can't wait till there is actually a Democrat doing something wrong, you make threads about nothing.....like the boy who cried wolf in a way.... That's the rabid part. The inability to WAIT for something to actually HAPPEN. |

I watched it live on CNN and have caught clips afterwards and I did notice a change in her speech to more of a southern accent.
But I think she did this as she was going reiterating the words spoken during the original march and just thought she was trying to add to the mood of the speech. No big deal really. |

I didn't hear that part.. I heard her talking in her regular accent.
My mother was born in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, and moved to NJ when she was a teenager. She usually had a northern accent. But sometimes she would change into a southern accent... Hillary did live in Arkansas, if she says some words with a southern accent, that would be why. I would like to hear a clip of the supposed southern accent. |

She sounded the same to me. I'm the rabid rightie, yet you're the one hurling insults. LOL! Can I start a thread about John Edwards telling us what Jesus would do? Or is that meaningless too? All I'm doing is helping your nominees get their messages out. Hillary did live in Arkansas, if she says some words with a southern accent, that would be why. I would like to hear a clip of the supposed southern accent. But have you ever heard her slip into a southern accent before? I did a google search and found it, but can't link to it. It's on foxnews.com and everyone knows they're a farce. |

It's a nonissue really. She was in Selma, Alabama, and was quoting a Southerner and she added a slight drawl to her recitation of the Southerner for poetic licence and dramatic effect as if that person was actually saying it. St Paddy's is coming and it's of the same gist as people feigning a brogue for quoting Irishmen, etc to have some fun and poetic licence with them.

Suuuuuure ya did Find us some audio or admit your thread is crap. If she did pick up a lilt though--which is not what happened here--that still would not shock me. Although she is from Illinois, she is married to a Southerner and lived in the South for a very long time (Arkansas obviously). It is certainly not unusual, but rather expected, that people who are exposed to differing dialects in their life tend to move more towards one or the other when in the area of their familiarities. I'm much the same going between the Irish and Mid-Atlantic America, especially because the dialects are different and having intense exposure to both. |
