Wow...Canada wants to instill a second sales tax for when you copy your music to a digital device to listen to.

Copyright collective wants iPod levy

OTTAWA- Canada's Private Copyright Collective is taking another stab at introducing levies on digital music players and memory cards.

The charges could add as much as $75 to the price of a new Apple iPod.

We have the same stupid kind of tax in France, which means that if I want to by an ipod or anyother digital player, I'll by it online in Germany for ex

We have similar taxes being paid to the RIAA here in the US.

Not on iPods (yet) but on blank media.
