Default Limbaugh nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Long overdue, leading talk radio host Rush Limbaugh has finally been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

He's a good pick for that award, although leftists/Stalinists probably prefer someone like Albert Gore Junior instead.

Do we really need to get in to how easy it is to be nominated?

Got news. I'm more or less a peacenik, but if he got that award, I'd vote for war.

How does Rush Limbaugh get nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? What has he actively done to advance that cause?

The article states why he is nominated, although as much as I think that Rush is dead on 90% of the time, I don't think he does what is needed for a Nobel Peace Prize. Anyone know who else got on the list?

Slim pickings this year, when people and organizations such as Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Mother Teresa, Doctors without Borders etc. has gotten it in the past. Either the concept of the Peace Award has been watered down, or peace in this day and age isn't the same as back in the days

That's what I wanted to know. So I read the link. It seems the Landmark Legal Foundation nominated him. What is it I would like to know, that a Foundation needs to be able to nominated someone? This just seems like an awful joke.

From the link:

Founded in 1976, Landmark Legal Foundation is the leading conservative public interest law firm in the United States. Rush Limbaugh serves as an unpaid member of Landmark's Board of Advisors. There's no way he'll win.

If you had to vote between Gore and Rush, who would you vote for?

OK, name what his accomplishment in persuit of peace?

Personally, he does not deserve it and I am considered conservative.

Keep in mind that all sorts of people get nominated who don't deserve it. The nominations are supposed to be secret; this is just a publicity thing.

I'd vote for the Smith & Wesson steveox presented me and spare myself the misery.

Actually, I'd vote for Bobcat Goldthwait. I'm sorry, I just can't be forced to pick between the other two.

Oh wait, let me guess - you "forgot" to ask those same questions over in the "Al Gore nominated for Nobel Peace Prize" thread, correct?

Limbaugh has done FAR more to advance the cause of peace than Al Gore has ever done.
