One thing ticking me off about this whole mess
is Turner Broadcasting's need to apologize. They said they apologized, took down the signs, practically caving into the perception by Boston that these were bombs or resembled. Further reading of the issue shows it was the Boston Police who instigated the panic: going as far as to blow one of the devices up! Quirky cartoon ads spark terror scare in Boston-The United States-World-NEWS-The Times of India To the pathetic mayor of Boston who is whining that this has cost his country 500K: "YOU, mr. Mayor, are a DUMB ASS!" Turner Broadcast need not apologize to the intellectually challenged. The Mayor of Boston wont look at the Police as the factor inciting the scare. No, the moron wants to implicated Turner. MORON!" |

BOSTON - Bomb units scrambled to investigate five suspicious devices reported throughout Boston on Wednesday. The reports forced the temporary shutdowns of Interstate 93 out of the city, a key inbound roadway, a bridge between Boston and Cambridge, and a portion of the Charles River but were quickly determined not to be explosive.
"It's a hoax — and it's not funny," Gov. Deval Patrick said. The first device was found at an MBTA subway and bus station located under Interstate 93 on Wednesday morning. The device was detonated and determined to be harmless, but as a precaution the station and the interstate shut down temporarily. Mass. suspicious devices called a hoax - Yahoo! News Well somebody explain this? What the hell is going on? |

wait a minute, do those bomb squads have the least bit of training in electronics? This reminds me of the bombsquads which blew up the boxes stamped with "PROPERTY OF U.S.G.S." on the side of them in Florida before a hurricane, because "they looked suspicious"
Its a circuit board and its not freaking attached to anything dangerous. Of course its freaking harmless. |
