Just more proof that a Bush response to terrorists is solely politically motivated. The Isamists have been in Somalia for months, but a Bush response is delayed until one day before his "big speech". Bush would be nothing without OBL.
I'm not at all sure how I feel about this attack, so I have stayed out of the thread, But I do agree that the timing is suspicious. So "BUSHLIKE"

here is the complaining post............

this is the exact way your hero fought wars but now you bitch about surgical strikes that involve NO TROOPS

once again hypocricy sucks doesnt it sam?
Some seem to prefer that we leave the terrorists alone. Strange, isn't it?

The warmongers are out in full salivating at the prospect of more war. Zero concern for civilians, all this faith in "intel" I need not give any examples of the numerous flops in this regard. Continue to beat your chest and Bray about kicking terrorist scum, you've learned nothing.

All you need now is a crowd yelling

I wonder how we can afford to do this? Money-wise we don't even put the war in our budget so it's obviously all on credit. Troop-wise the Generals have said we don't have enough troops to sustain anymore in Iraq, so do we have enough to attack Somalia too?
That’s the beautiful part, it doesn’t cost anything.
Our tax dollars are simply going back into the private sector (You know, bombs, airplanes and shit being made.)…
Oh wait! I bet that really ticks of the democrats huh? How many wars can we start all at once? We could take the world if we so chose, fortunately, we have never started a war before… Iraq was such a HUGE fuck up. Says you. Most of us prefer them defending there homeland over us defending ours. You like what? Want to defend each mall and school separately as they attack?
(Didn’t Clinton call the police the first time they bombed the world trade center and killed innocent civilians???) If we weren't in Iraq fighting Iraqis instead of Al Qaeda in Africa and Afghanistan, we could have kicked the terrorist's asses by now. Gee! What do you suppose they were thinking???
Have you considered running for secretary of defense so you could tell them we needed to go to Africa instead of Iraq (We are in Afghanistan.)? God I hate Bush for putting us in this shit place we are stuck in right now. Yes. Most of us prefer or children die instead of the terrorist.
(Where do you people get this stuff, I mean damn…)

Why Somalia and not Darfur?

Oh silly me.

"That land, in the opinion of geologists and industry sources, could yield significant amounts of oil and natural gas if the U.S.-led military mission can restore peace to the impoverished East African nation."

Oil in Somalia?

we have been needing to get payback there since 93
While I am not opposed to this, it is all about revenge for you Rak? It seems to me revenge is not an adequate reason, and I doubt the reason the action was taken.

not singling you out hairball. just using it as an example of uninformed, sheep-like mentality so prevalent in these posts. i pity you guys. so brainwashed by the state you'll believe anything they say and applaud anything they do. i've been reading about this "attack" and apparently those 3 guys they're looking for weren't even around. and just so you guys know, the somali's our government is so eager to support and who help us get our intel are hardly anything more than ruthless warlords. we've been throwing millions of dollars at many different warlord/rival militant groups for years hoping that whichever one of them finally gains power will be friendly to the US and its interests. its only because our government calls them allies or whatever the term is, that makes them so. its a dangerous crap shoot playing with people's lives and treating them as if they're nothing more than cannon fodder for the big bad gunships. ignorance is a much greater danger to the US than any amount of terrorists could ever be.
